There are two ways to volunteer at Venue Cymru.I feel it is a privilege to be a Steward at Venue Cymru, welcoming our visitors with a smile, and helping them to have a positive experience in the theatre, as well as seeing many super shows, and gaining so many new friends!

Become a volunteer steward
Our volunteer stewards perform a vital role as the public face of Venue Cymru during our performances and events, ensuring that our patrons have a positive, enjoyable and safe experience whether this be on site, or at external events we run.
It should be noted before applying to become a volunteer steward that there is a minimum requirement of attendance expected, and that cash handling and using the stairs to all levels of the venue may be required.
Stewards are required to work a minimum of four shows per month and to be flexible with their availability as our programme is made up of matinee performances as well as evenings.
Our programme is very varied, and you will get the opportunity to experience live theatre and genres of live production that you have possibly never experienced before.

Become a young ambassador
Our Young Ambassadors Scheme is an opportunity for young people aged 16-25 to be involved at Venue Cymru from planning events to helping to run them.
As a group you will work on promotions and advertising activities and workshops targeted at young people, in particular at our annual flagship event take pART each January.
Young Ambassadors will also discuss how Venue Cymru can be made more relevant and exciting to young people.
The Young Ambassadors will have the opportunity to meet and work closely with professional theatre artists and the theatre staff.
You will receive free and discounted tickets to specific shows at Venue Cymru, as well as attending some press nights. As advocates for the theatre you will be responsible for sharing information and opportunities about theatre productions to friends and associates through social media and schools, colleges, universities.
This scheme is a fantastic opportunity for you to learn more about theatre, to share your opinions and visions with us.
